一開始，『酒未來』都是十四代的獨家專用米，2010年時，高木酒造把「酒未來」使用權配予其他酒藏釀酒後，紛紛釀造出各種的銘柄，引領清酒界熱潮。現今「酒未來」這種酒米每半年一造，產量亦只有2000瓶，十分珍貴。
